7/2/11 stories

My day started at 5:30 to prepare for the 7.5 hour car ride to Pittsburgh. After a multitude of long stretches of farmland, tunnels, and hilly hills, we finally reached the Steel City. And boy, was it underwhelming as usual! When we finally got to my brother's house however, my mood went from grumpy to elated. As I stepped out of my car and unpacked my bags, there on the front porch staring at me, which his abnormally large bug-like eyes, was the sole reason (though I supposed seeing my brother was nice too...) for my journey. Nathan has changed a lot since the last time I saw him in person; he has become more independent, undeniably cuter (especially now that his vocabulary consists of words that make you "aw" when you hear them in his high pitched chipmunk voice), and a lot more active. Since it's July Fourth weekend, it was absolutely essential for my very American family to head on over to Costco to buy a surplus of food. Afterwards, we spent the large majority of the day grillin' and chillin' Korean BBQ, steak and ribs, zucchini, chicken, and pork butt. YUM. Followed by some La Rosa's baked goods, and I was in a food coma until 9 am. More stories and photos to come :)
